The national stage of the Global HackAtom in Uzbekistan

From April 20 to 21, the national stage of the "Global HackAtom" championship (an international engineering hackathon uniting young nuclear industry specialists from various countries) took place in Tashkent.
Over 100 students from seven Uzbek universities participated, including the Tashkent Branch of the National Research Nuclear University "MEPhI" (TF NIAU MEPhI), Samarkand State University, Tashkent Institute of Irrigation and Agricultural Mechanization Engineers, Tashkent State Technical University, and others.
Over two days, 20 student teams worked on a task dedicated to the "nuclear cluster" project in Uzbekistan. On the first day, participants attended educational lectures delivered by representatives from Rosatom's leading anchor universities: the Institute of Nuclear Energy at the National Research Nuclear University "MEPhI" and Nizhny Novgorod State Technical University named after R.E. Alekseev. On the second day, teams presented their projects to an expert jury, which included specialists from the National Research Nuclear University "MEPhI," the Directorate for the Construction of the Nuclear Power Plant, and the Institute of Nuclear Physics of the Academy of Sciences of the Republic of Uzbekistan.
The "Synthesis" team was declared the winner. They will represent Uzbekistan at the grand finale of the "Global HackAtom," scheduled for September 2026 as part of the International Youth Festival.
